I was born into a creative family; my mother was an accomplished photographer and my father a lifelong musician. I always enjoyed making art in school and as a hobby but focused on communications with a concentration in film studies in college. After working in fashion for several years I decided to pursue a career in professional art and art teaching. I have taken classes on Cape Cod and am currently a student at the New Art Center in Newton, MA. I am also a licensed Pre-K-8th grade Visual Art teacher.
Art is ultimately and uniquely human. We create art before we even know what art is. Possessing any skill or talent is more or less a bonus; the practice itself brings joy. I’m inspired by nature, animals, film, fashion, music and of course other artists and their work. I want what I love to do to bring happiness to others.
